The Oisin Mullin transfer to AFL was a protracted and intriguing move. Mullin was a two time winner of the GAA Young Player of the Year and the only player on the list to have made a significant impact in GAA before transferring to AFL.

Very few GAA players make their debut in their first season in the AFL and even fewer have debuted after just 5 games in the new code. But Mullin managed to impress the coaches enough in his 2 practice matches and 3 VFL games to make his debut in Round 11 against GWS Giants. He is still improving in the skills of the game but his pace and athleticism was on show in parts in 2023.
