Aidan Corr
DOB: 17.05.1994
Age: 29
Height: 6ft 5in (195cm)
AFL Team: North Melbourne Kangaroos
Position: Defender
County: Tyrone
Club: Brocagh
2023 Performances
Aidan Corr is the 2nd Tyrone man on this list but the first to have not played for his county at any level. This is because his family left the lough shore village of Brocagh to move to Australia at the age of 3.
Having played in a Grand Final loss to Richmond in 2019 Corr is a highly experienced defender and despite being 6ft 5in he typically picked up the second tallest forward on the opposing team. Corr is tall, strong and athletic and is a consistent player at North Melbourne, like most good defenders a lot of his work goes under the radar but he does take a lot of Spoils. Unfortunately Corr's time in North Melbourne has coincided with a few poor years for the team and they have finished in the bottom 2 for all 3 years he has been at the club.
2023 AFL Statistics
2024 Expectations
North Melbourne have traded out their star Key Defender Ben McKay (6ft 8in) leaving Corr as the most experienced tall defender in the team. They have recruited in a couple of other talls in the trade period but Corr will remain the most trusted key defender in the squad. Barring suspensions and injuries expect Corr to play most games this season however North Melbourne are unlikely to perform significantly better than last season despite some strong draft pick up's over the last few years.
